Strindberg is an Esplanadi classic that opened in 1992 in a former art gallery. Café Strindberg is at street level, and Restaurant Strindberg and the Library Bar (Kirjastobaari) are on the second floor. The large windows look out onto Esplanadi Park.

In the dignified, Continental-style interior at street level you will find a wide selection of coffee and tea as well as savoury and sweet treats. In summer the café’s dishes can also be enjoyed on the terrace. In the evening you can enjoy a great wine selection and drop in for an aperitif after work or before dinner.

The restaurant serves Strindberg classics from Monday to Saturday, such as meatballs, charcoal-grilled salmon and French bread, as well as seasonal à la carte dishes. The restaurant and the adjoining Library Bar offer a lively, urban and pleasantly atmospheric setting for dining and enjoying a drink. Our kitchen combines the popular Nordic “husmanskost” with today’s international flavours and styles. Unfussy, contemporary – Simply Delicious. Dogs are also welcome.
