French Aigle (est. 1853) is Europe’s oldest rubber-boot factory and also has its own clothing line. Kapteenska introduced Barbour’s (est. 1896) world-famous oil-cloth jackets in Finland as early as the 1980’s.

Kapteenska’s spirit can be summed up in a paraphrased version of a Malcolm Barbour quote: “The spirit of service can be likened to a reach for a handshake, a warm-spirited partnership and a genuine interest in every customer’s needs and wants.”
